What lifestyle and precepts do Taoist followers observe?

What precepts must be observed in daily life as a Taoist believer? Are there dietary, lifestyle, and behavioral requirements? Are the rules the same for lay followers and monastics?

Taoist precepts vary by tradition and status: Quanzhen monastics observe the Three Great Ordinations (five basic precepts plus vegetarianism, celibacy, temple residence). Zhengyi priests can live at home, marry, and eat meat. Lay followers (jushi) have no mandatory precepts, but are generally encouraged to: maintain a good heart, avoid or minimize killing, eat vegetarian on fasting days, and approach temples with sincerity and respect. The most important principle is "Do no evil, practice all good."
