Nikola Tesla

1856年07月10日 — 1943年01月07日 (Age86岁)
Birthplace:Smiljan, Austrian Empire (modern-day Croatia) Resting Place:Nikola Tesla Museum, Belgrade, Serbia
Nikola Tesla was born during a lightning storm on July 10, 1856, in Smiljan, in what is now Croatia. His mother, an inventor of household appliances, deeply influenced his creative mind.

After studying engineering in Graz and Prague, Tesla moved to the United States in 1884 and briefly worked for Thomas Edison. Their rivalry — the "War of the Currents" — ended with Tesla's alternating current (AC) system becoming the global standard for electricity transmission.

His inventions transformed the modern world: the induction motor, the Tesla coil, radio technology, wireless communication, and remote control. He dreamed of providing free wireless electricity to the entire planet through his Wardenclyffe Tower project.

Despite his genius, Tesla died alone and in relative poverty in a New York hotel room. Yet his vision of a connected world powered by clean energy was far ahead of his time, and his legacy lives on in every electrical device we use today.

He had a photographic memory and could visualize entire machines in his head before building them. Truly superhuman.

Tesla's love for pigeons in his later years shows the gentle soul behind the genius. He was a complex, beautiful mind.

The Tesla coil is still one of the most mesmerizing demonstrations of electricity. Pure magic made science.

His Wardenclyffe Tower was J.P. Morgan's greatest mistake. If funded, Tesla might have achieved wireless power a century ago.

The War of the Currents — Tesla vs Edison. History proved Tesla right, but both were brilliant in their own ways.

He was far ahead of his time in so many areas — radio, remote control, X-rays, renewable energy. A man born in the wrong century.

If you haven't visited the Tesla Museum in Belgrade, put it on your list. His ashes are there, and it's deeply moving.

Tesla died alone and poor, but his ideas made the world unimaginably richer. A tragic irony.
